Sellafield Ltd 

Sellafield Ltd is the company responsible for safely decommissioning the Sellafield site on behalf of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority. Synetica designed and supplied a large scale enLink LoRaWAN wireless metering system to the Sellafield site to give detailed half hourly energy data site wide. The Sellafield site is vast, but with the enLink long range wireless units, all areas of the site are comfortably in range, giving the on-site facilities team the detailed information required to operate the site at peak efficiency.

Sellafield Ltd have 250 separate facilities crowded into just 1.5 square miles, making it the most densley populted nuclear site anyywhere in the world. Our enLink LoRaWAN wireless metering is giving site personnel detailed insight into energy consumption across the entire site, for the first time in history.
